Southern gourmet at it's finest. Café Anchuca attracts locals and tourist alike while offering fine dining with an authentic southern-style garden room atmosphere. Come celebrate your special occasion with us or simply take the night off. We'll indulge you with elegance.
Since 1998, Anchuca has been our home away from home, with in excess of 100 visits. Each time, we’re welcomed like a cross between visiting royalty and long lost family.

As long as we can remember, Ray and I, along with our family, have dined at Anchuca, as well as celebrated many special occasions in our life there. We continue to enjoy your wonderful, kind and professional staff. It feels like home, and we are treated like family! We love Anchuca!
Nancy and Ray Neilsen - Edwards, MS
We absolutely loved our stay at Anchuca! It was the perfect place to spend our wedding night. Although Vicksburg is home to both of us, we had never stayed there before. We were pleasantly surprised and had the best experience. Everyone was so accommodating, and our suite was both beautiful and comfortable. One of our favorite parts was breakfast. The food was fantastic! We recommend it to anyone traveling from near or far. We look forward to staying again!
Rachel Anderton - Vicksburg, MS
My husband Robert and I have been staying at Anchuca for about 17 years. In the beginning, we lived in Atlanta and then in Knoxville. When traveling to see my family in Texas, Anchuca was a convenient place to spend the night. But it was much more than that. Where else could we find such an elegant place with fine dining without having to leave the inn? Or a plantation breakfast to start the morning? And on top of that, Tom Pharr, Anchuca’s owner, knows everything there is to know about Vicksburg’s rich and glorious history.
Over the years, Tom has become a treasured friend. We now live in Texas. But that hasn’t stopped us from coming to Anchuca. We’ve made a habit of visiting Anchuca two or three times a year. That’s how much we love it.
Guests are welcome to explore the mansion with its beautiful antiques and antebellum décor. Be sure to sit awhile in the library. As a writer, I am proud to say that my published books have found a home there, too.
