Room 8 Description

Located in the carriage house, which is a stone’s throw from the main house, this space has been converted into four moderately priced, private guest rooms. Each room features a private bedroom, bathroom with tub/shower combination, and dressing area along with a mini refrigerator, K-cup coffee maker, mini bar, charging station, high speed WIFI, Roku Smart TV, iron and ironing board, individual thermostat control, toiletries, first priority for reservations to our onsite restaurant, and a complimentary Southern-style breakfast followed by an informative orientation video and self guided house tour. Each room also features high ceilings and a front porch seating area with a beautiful view of the historic main house. Pets are welcomed in all carriage house rooms.

The Carriage House rooms are named to honor the Wilson daughters, who survived the ravages of the War and went on to have prosperous lives. Emma, born on October 1, 1859, never married and lived her entire life on her father’s Vicksburg estate with her Aunt Sarah Wilson. Emma was very involved in the Episcopal Church and community. Emma died on June 25, 1930.

Does Anchuca have private parking for guests?

Yes! Anchuca offers a small parking area that provides eight off-street parking spaces for guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional guest parking is available on First East Street, Adams Street, and Cherry Street.

For added peace of mind, our private and public parking areas all feature LED security lighting and high-definition security cameras.

Is breakfast included with my stay?

Yes! Included with every stay at Anchuca is a traditional, Southern-style breakfast served between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. in Restaurant Anchuca.

When is guest check-in and check-out?

Guest check-in is 3 p.m. and guest check-out is by 11 a.m.

May I request a later check-out?

Yes! Our team makes every effort to accomodate our guests’ wishes whenever possible.

Late check-outs are allowed depending on our upcoming room availability. Late check-outs add an additional fee of $25 to your stay. To request a late check-out, please call 601.661.0111 or visit the front desk.

May I request an earlier check-in?

Early check-ins are not always possible: as an AAA “Inspected Clean” property, our team follows strict guidelines so our cleaning protocols will continue to be scientifically validated as effective by trained and unannounced AAA inspectors.
